Now that Southern Cali is finally experiencing some chill, I have been updating my stock of cool weather accessories. I’ve also been making a bunch of small, easy projects to donate to local charities. This little scarfette was a one skein, one hour project. Just the way I like ‘em.
What to Use:
- (1) Lion’s Pride WoolSpun Tomato
- Size (J) crochet hook
V st: 1dc, ch 1, 1dc into same st.
What to Do:
Row 1: Skip 2 chs (counts as dc), 2dc into next ch, *skip 3 ch, work a V st into next ch, 3ch**, 5 dc into next ch; repeat from * ending last rep at **, 3dc into last ch, turn.
Row 2: 3ch (counts as dc), 1dc into first st, *5dc into sp at center of next V st**, V st into 3rd of next 5dc; repeat from * ending last rep at **, 2dc into top of turning ch, turn.
Row 3: 3ch (counts as dc), 2dc into first st, *V st into 3rd of next 5dc**, 5dc into sp at center of next V st; rep from * ending last rep at **, 3dc into top of turning ch, turn.
That’s the basic pattern. Just repeat rows 2 and 3 until the end of the skein. That will get you the scarfette length pictured. If you want a full length scarf, simply join a 2nd skein of yarn and keep repeating rows 2 and 3 until you reach the desired length. It doesn’t matter which row you end with.
As always, have fun!!!
